![]() ![]() The number "322" appears in Skull and Bones' insignia and is widely reported to be significant as the year of Greek orator Demosthenes' death. Skull and Bones "taps" those that it views as campus leaders and other notable figures for its membership. Since the society's inclusion of women in the early 1990s, Skull and Bones selects fifteen men and women of the junior class to join the society. Skull and Bones selects new members among students every spring as part of Yale University's "Tap Day", and has done so since 1879. The first extended description of Skull and Bones, published in 1871 by Lyman Bagg in his book Four Years at Yale, noted that "the mystery now attending its existence forms the one great enigma which college gossip never tires of discussing." Brooks Mather Kelley attributed the interest in Yale senior societies to the fact that underclassmen members of then freshman, sophomore, and junior class societies returned to campus the following years and could share information about society rituals, while graduating seniors were, with their knowledge of such, at least a step removed from campus life. The association was founded by Russell and Daniel Coit Gilman, a Skull and Bones member. The society's assets are managed by its alumni organization, the Russell Trust Association, incorporated in 1856 and named after the Bones' co-founder. Alternative names for Skull and Bones are The Order, Order 322 and The Brotherhood of Death. The first senior members included Russell, Taft, and 12 other members. William Huntington Russell and Alphonso Taft co-founded "the Order of the Skull and Bones". Skull and Bones was founded in 1832 after a dispute among Yale debating societies Linonia, Brothers in Unity, and the Calliopean Society over that season's Phi Beta Kappa awards. The society is known informally as "Bones," and members are known as "Bonesmen," "Members of The Order" or "Initiated to The Order." History The society's alumni organization, the Russell Trust Association, owns the organization's real estate and oversees the membership. It is one of the "Big Three" societies at Yale, the other two being Scroll and Key and Wolf's Head. The oldest senior class society at the university, Skull and Bones has become a cultural institution known for its powerful alumni and various conspiracy theories. Hopefully then, we might hear something from the publisher on the fate of the game in the next few weeks.Skull and Bones, also known as The Order, Order 322 or The Brotherhood of Death, is an undergraduate senior secret student society at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. With a recently-announced major delay for the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake, Ubisoft’s 2022 slate might otherwise look a little barren without Skull & Bones. However, a recent financial report did pencil the game for a launch before March 2023. The publisher is often a regular feature during E3, but has been notable by its absence with very little from the company at the replacement Summer Games Fest or surrounding events bar an anniversary celebration for Assassin’s Creed. It is worth noting that Ubisoft has yet to hold any sort of June showcase this year. There’s been very little in the two months since then. Ubisoft would acknowledge the leak soon after, and told fans to keep their eyes on the horizon for more. ![]() Back in April, a leaked video from a technical test build revealed some of the features for the upcoming game. We didn’t get much more information than that from either listing, but it does track with current speculation the game will arrive later this year. Twitter user The_Marmolade spotted that one, also reported by VGC. The listing comes just a month after a similar one, found on the South Korean Ratings Board. ![]() (As per Video Games Chronicle.) The listing cites the year of production as 2022 and the formats including Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Google Stadia and PC. Reddit users spotted the much-delayed nautical pirate game on a Brazilian ratings board over the weekend. A release date for Ubisoft’s Skull & Bones could be close, after the game’s appeared on two ratings boards in the past two months. ![]()
